High Level of Expertise and Agility
Eureka Aerospace’s top leadership has a high degree of expertise in electromagnetics with emphasis on pulse-power systems, radars and signal processing, including Impulse SAR processing, as well as extensive experiences in new-product/system development and integration; test design, planning, and execution; and overall program management.
Chairman & CEO: Dr. James Tatoian
Guiding Eureka’s vision and operations is its CEO, Dr. James Tatoian, a seasoned scientific investigator with more than 40 years of experience in the field of electromagnetics and advance radar systems. Before co-founding Eureka, Dr. Tatoian served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development Laboratories, a high-tech firm specializing in airborne and space-borne radar applications. Dr. Tatoian holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the California Institute of Technology.
Chief Engineer: Dr. FC Yang
Dr. FC Yang is an investigator with more than 40 years of experience in the field of theoretical and applied electromagnetics. Dr. Yang leads all theoretical developments including simulations efforts at Eureka. Before joining Eureka, Dr. Yang had worked at Raytheon for almost 20 years on the R&D of the antenna system components, and, at Kaman Sciences for about 20 years on all aspects of EMP, EMI, and EMC issues. Dr. Yang holds a BSEE from the National Taiwan University, and a MSEE, a PhD from the California Institute of Technology.
Senior Research Scientist: Dr. Alexander Minovich
Dr. Alexander Minovich is an investigator with more than 15 years of experience in the field of theoretical and experimental optics. Dr. Minovich leads the design of the optical and mechanical parts of our systems, as well as the experimental characterization of optical and electromagnetic performance of our prototypes. Before joining Eureka, Dr. Minovich had worked in academia in a number of top Nano photonics research groups at the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia), King’s College London (UK), and Friedrich-Schiller University Jena (Germany). Dr. Minovich holds a PhD from the Australian National University.
Research Scientist: Ms. Jiaxin Li
Ms. Li leads the simulations of the optical system of the IBA module. She works with Dr. Minovich on the design and experimentation of the optical and mechanical parts of our systems and prototypes. Ms. Li holds a Bachelor's degree from the California Institute of Technology.
Other key technical consultants include Dr. Andrea Alu of SUNY, Dr. Nadar Engheta of University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Giorgio Franceschetti of University of Naples, Italy, Dr. William Nunnally of Advanced American Technologies, INC, Mr. Heinz Lackner and Mr. Mik Kim.
